Kate Middleton and Princess Charlotte's close bond showed through a simple gesture on Easter.

On April 5, Princess Kate and Prince William stepped out with their three children — Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7 — to attend the Easter Matins Service at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle. They joined King Charles, Queen Camilla and other members of the royal family for the holiday gathering.

Following the service, cameras captured a sweet moment between the Princess of Wales, 44, and her only daughter.

As they walked away from the church, Princess Kate and Princess Charlotte held hands.

Princess Charlotte's Easter style was also a nod to her mom's signature fashion.

Charlotte recycled a tan coat with brown accents that she debuted on Christmas Day in 2025, following one of her mom's go-to fashion moves by wearing a look that was already in her closet.

Hello! magazine identified Charlotte's classic coat as by Catherine Walker, one of Princess Kate's go-to designers, and she reportedly layered it over a pale blue dress by Self-Portrait, the label behind Princess Kate's cream outfit on Easter.

Kate and Charlotte's hand-holding moment offered another glimpse into their bond, following moments like Charlotte joining her mother for a piano duet at Princess Kate's 2025 Christmas service and the Princess of Wales revealing that she sometimes styles Charlotte's hair.

Prince William, 43, has also spoken about the similarities between his wife and their daughter.

The Prince of Wales offered a sweet response to a well-wisher in Wales in 2020, who told him that Princess Charlotte was her favorite.

"Yes, she is lovely — just like my wife," the proud dad said then.
