Kim Basinger and Alec Baldwin had one of the most legendary divorces in Hollywood, but the couple appears to have found peace.
Basinger, 72, who made waves in the '80s alongside Mickey Rourke in the sexy drama 9 1/2 Weeks, skyrocketed to the top of the box office in the role of Vicki Vale in Tim Burton‘s Batman, alongside Michael Keaton. However, it was her role in 1997’s L.A. Confidential that earned her an Academy Award. Baldwin has continued to be a Hollywood staple throughout the years, with roles in films like It's Complicated, The Departed, and The Royal Tenenbaums. But when the couple's divorce became official in 2002, the split rocked the tabloids so significantly that it dominated the tabloid news cycle for years to come.
However, things seem to have changed in the last couple of decades. In a new Instagram post, Basinger honored Baldwin's 68th birthday on Friday with a sweet throwback video from their 1991 film, The Marrying Man. But in addition to the video, it was what she said that truly blew fans away.
Maybe Vicky and Charlie lived happily ever after…… But in real life there is a phrase called “OTHER PLANS”………This coming Sunday will mark the 35th anniversary of THE MARRYING MAN…. A very special time in my life that I will be forever grateful for…… The years have passed and time has done its wonders… I will also say that today is Alec Baldwin’s birthday… 🎂 A big happy birthday to Alec my costar …..Wishing him health… laughter…. and many more wonderful years with family and friends……always 🙏✨🥰," Basinger captioned the video.

What's Kim Basinger Up to These Days?
While Basinger’s marriage and divorce from Alec Baldwin became the stuff of tabloid legend, the relationship did introduce the couple’s daughter, Ireland Baldwin, to the world. Ireland chronicles her own path through parenthood with her longtime partner, musician André Allen Anjos, on her social media account, and Basinger is occasionally featured as a loving grandma. In honor of his birthday, Baldwin shared a series of sweet photos, one of which included a rare cameo from her mother, who has chosen a quieter life these days away from the bright lights of Hollywood and social media’s prying eyes.
In the fifth photo, Basinger can be seen chatting with Anjos alongside her grandchild. Sporting black sunglasses and her trademark long, blonde hair, Basinger has barely changed a bit since her days as Vicki Vale in Batman.
“Happy birthday to my everything ♥️,” Baldwin captioned the photo carousel.
