If Miley Cyrus hasn't already been banned from her mom's kitchen, it sounds like Tish Cyrus Purcell thinks she should be!
The Cyrus family matriarch shared a horror story involving her middle daughter during a Q&A session from her podcast Sorry We're Cyrus, which she co-hosts wiht her eldest daughter Brandi Cyrus, after one fan submitted the question, “Who in the family should not be allowed near the kitchen during the holidays because of a disastrous cooking memory?”
Tish was quick to reveal, "That would be Miley," who once nearly cut a finger off in a cooking incident. "It was not cute," she added in a clip shared to TikTok, before launching into the gnarly details.
It’s unclear how old the “Flowers” songstress was at the time, but she came home with a “fancy” handheld mixer to make herself some cauliflower mashed potatoes.
“So she came in, put it in a saucepan, turned on her mixer…literally, zzzzz!” she began, mimicking the sound of the appliance’s motor. “Somehow, she had her finger in it and literally almost cut her entire finger off.”
The Incident Made Quite a Mess in the Family's Kitchen
Blood, she said, went everywhere.
“I mean like, everywhere,” she emphasized. Naturally, they needed to get her to the emergency room to deal with the injury, where she said “they had to sew it back on.”
She described the whole family as looking “rough” after hours in the kitchen, which was something Tish’s mom had a hard time handling, as she’s someone who “wants you to look great at all times.”
“We got ready to run out to the emergency room and she was like, ‘Miley, aren’t you gonna put any makeup on?’”
Miley, she said, “was like, ‘No, Mammie, my finger is falling off!’”
No word on how many stitches she required, but Tish reiterated, "So we spent that in the emergency room getting Miley's finger literally sewn back on."
Fans Were Unsurprised to Hear Miley Named the Culprit
Fans were unsurprised by the answer, with one replying, "I knew it was gonna be Miley lol."
Another declared, "I can hear it in her voice saying 'no, mammy my finger is falling off'🤣🤣🤣," while someone else demanded, "I want Miley to answer to this video 😭."
"We’re all Miley inside😂💞," another kitchen klutz joked.
Even Dolly Parton once roasted her goddaughter's work in the kitchen—though, admittedly, it had more to do with their oppositional diets than her actual culinary talent—or potential lack thereof.
