Nancy Meyers is spreading some early Christmas cheer for The Holiday fans.

The Oscar-nominated writer-director took to Instagram on Monday to share a sweet treat to her followers as they kicked off their holiday week by watching the iconic 2006 film starring Cameron Diaz as a workaholic movie trailer editor in Los Angeles and Kate Winslet as a London journalist pining after her ex-slash-coworker who spontaneously decide to do a house swap.

"Thank you for tagging me in all of your posts about The Holiday," Meyers captioned her gallery post of photos. "I love them all. Here’s some photos you might enjoy. Wishing you a wonderful Christmas! x"

The post features several behind-the-scenes photos from Meyers directing the rom-com, which also stars Jude Law and Jack Black as the charming locals that Diaz and Winlet's characters fall in love with while away from home.

One photo shows Diaz gearing up to sucker punch costar Edward Burns, while another photo features Winslet and Black posing back-to-back as they give their best smolder to the camera. Other featured photos show Law smiling as he waits to start filming; Diaz chatting with a young costar; and Nancy posing in front of the quaint English cottage featured in the film.

Although the film seems prime for becoming the Christmas classic it has become, Meyers has admitted that she doesn't look at The Holiday as an actual holiday movie.

"I never thought it would be, you know, a movie that you watched during the holidays.... Didn't think of it that way. I just really wanted to tell the story about these people. I set it at Christmas because that can be lonely. As I noted to myself last night while I was watching, they're all damaged," Meyers shared on the Hollywood Gold podcast last December.

Meyers said she finds Miles (Black) "the least damaged" of the characters, but he's damaged just the same.

"And the holidays seem like a good time to deal with those issues," Meyers said. "So it was that, not, 'Hey, I think I'll make a festive holiday movie.' Not at all."

Despite her intentions, the movie still regularly pops up on what-to-watch lists this time of year. And it's primed to do so again after its upcoming limited series adaptation from Apple TV+,

The Holiday limited series on Apple TV+ will be written and executive produced by Krissie Ducker (Sweetpea) and will see input from Rob Delaney (Catastrophe) as a consultant. Meyers has no involvement in the project, which she made clear would stay that way when she reacted to the announcement in August.
