The wait for Bridgerton season four is almost over. The fourth season will premiere on January 29, with part 2 (the second half of the season) dropping on February 26.

On Christmas Day 2025, Netflix shared the full trailer for season four:

The fourth season will draw from Julia Quinn’s third Bridgerton book, An Offer From a Gentleman. Loosely based on the Cinderella fairytale, the plot follows the illegitimate daughter of an earl, Sophie Beckett (Sophie Baek in the Netflix show, played by Yerin Ha), who sneaks into the Bridgerton masked ball. There, she meets Benedict (Luke Thompson), the second-eldest Bridgerton brother. (More on the plot of Benedict’s story, here.)

“What drew me to Sophie was that she immediately has obstacles — something that she constantly has to overcome,” Ha told Tudum. “Whether it’s this battle around social status or trying to hide her feelings from Benedict.”

There are plans to make eight seasons of Bridgerton, one for each book (and each Bridgerton sibling), though Netflix has not yet renewed the series for a fifth season (or beyond). Still, executive producer Shonda Rhimes is confident. “Everybody’s going to have a main arc every season,” Rhimes told Town & Country. “There’s going to be one for each one of the Bridgertons. We laid out the story in a way that felt right and necessary for us. And, eventually, every last one of those Bridgertons is going to have a love story.”
