Everyone has something to say about the new Summer House scandal. If you haven’t heard, the joint statement announcing the romance between Amanda Batula and West Wilson completely broke the internet. One one hand, people are calling them traitors for betraying the trust of Ciara Miller. Others (and by others, it’s pretty much just Bethenny Frankel), believe that they are adults and can do whatever they want.
People have been waiting to hear the perspective of Ciara’s true BFF Paige DeSorbo. An alum of the series, Paige was close with both Ciara and Amanda on the show and after leaving. Whose side is she on in this scandal? She just made it very clear, alongside fellow Summer House alum Hannah Berner.
West Wilson and Amanda Batula shocked Summer House fans with a joint statement
In a recent episode of their Giggly Squad podcast, both Paige and Hannah addressed the scandal. They might have felt like they needed to, after fans mistook a cat photo as Paige’s official take on the situation. Nevertheless, they both made it clear who they are supporting in this situation.
“Ciara is our real friend, in real life. So we have been talking to her, consoling her. We are behind her 100%. We would never capitalize or monetize off of our friend’s heartbreak,” Paige explained in the April 3 episode.

Hannah also chimed in, reflecting on her unexpected exit from the show. In her eyes, its chaotic moments like this that remind her of the toxicity of reality TV.
“I think ‘Giggly Squad’ was created after us seeing how they wanted to pick fights and how they wanted to pick people. And we felt like so much was on the cutting room floor, and they weren’t showing the things that they should show.”
Summer House airs on Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo. It’s streaming on Peacock.
