Little House on the Prairie became an instant classic when it premiered on NBC in September 1974. The Western historical drama, which ran for nine seasons until its finale in 1983, starred Michael Landon, Karen Grassle, Melissa Gilbert, Melissa Sue Anderson and Lindsay and Sidney Greenbush.

In January 2025, Netflix announced that they were working on a revival of the beloved series with Rebecca Sonnenshine as the showrunner. Similar to the original series, the reboot is based on Laura Ingalls Wilder's books of the same name and follow a family growing up in the American West in the 1800s.

Over the following few months, Netflix rolled out the cast and announced that Alice Halsey was cast as Laura Ingalls, while other main cast members include Luke Bracey, Crosby Fitzgerald, Skywalker Hughes, Jocko Sims, Warren Christie, Wren Zhawenim Gotts, Meegwun Fairbrother and Alyssa Wapantahk.

The reboot series is "part hopeful family drama, part epic survival tale, and part origin story of the American West" and is a "fresh adaptation of Laura Ingalls Wilder’s iconic semi-autobiographical Little House books," per the show's description.

The Little House on the Prairie reboot, which was renewed for season 2 in March 2026, premieres on Netflix on July 9, 2026.

Highway to Heaven

Highway to Heaven, which also starred Landon, originally ran on NBC from 1984 to 1989. The fantasy drama revolved around Landon as an angel sent to Earth to help people, with a retired policeman, played by Victor French, as his sidekick.

The project was close to Landon's heart, as he created, directed and wrote episodes just a few years before his 1991 death. The late actor's wife, Cindy Landon, is producing the reboot, which was announced in May 2026.

"Highway to Heaven was always more than a television show — it was about humanity, compassion, hope, and the power of touching people's lives through storytelling," Cindy wrote on Instagram. "Michael poured his heart and soul into these stories, and I know this new chapter would mean so much to him. I'm incredibly grateful to everyone involved for believing in the heart of this series and having the vision to bring it to life once again."

The reboot, which is slated to air in the 2027-28 season, will also feature Friday Night Lights showrunner Jason Katims.

"I'm excited by the challenge of putting a contemporary lens on this classic tale. The idea of telling a very grounded, human story about an angel feels immediately emotional to me — and fun," Katims said in a statement. "I love going outside my comfort zone to tell a tale about someone trying to do better as an angel than he did as a man."

Baywatch quickly rose the ranks of fan favorite television shows when it premiered in 1989 and launched the careers of David Hasselhoff, Carmen Electra and Pamela Anderson, among others.

The series, which ran for 11 seasons through 2001, followed the glamorous lifeguards who look over the beaches of Los Angeles and Hawaii.

Nearly 25 years after Baywatch came to an end, a reboot was ordered by Fox and was officially given 12 episodes for the 2026-27 season, per The Hollywood Reporter.

The reboot, which is in production in Venice Beach, stars Brooks Nader, Livvy Dunne, Shay Mitchell, Noah Beck, Stephen Amell, Jessica Belkin, Hassie Harrison, Thaddeus LaGrone and David Chokachi.

"I think all the ladies and the males of the cast have a great, great bond and an amazing workflow together. The girls and I are all so close," Nader said of the group dynamic at the Fox Upfronts in May 2026. "Shay, Hassie and I are like a little trio, and we love being together. So it's easy to get along with these girls. Livvy, I've known forever from Sports Illustrated. Jess is incredibly talented and so sweet. So it's like a little sorority."

After the pilot was created, The Rockford Files reboot was officially picked up for a season for 2026-27, per Variety. The reboot series will be a "contemporary update on the classic series of the same name," according to Deadline.

"Newly paroled after doing time for a crime he didn’t commit, James Rockford returns to his life as a private investigator using his charm and wit to solve cases around Los Angeles. It doesn’t take long for his quest for legitimacy to land him squarely in the crosshairs of both local police and organized crime," the official synopsis reads.

David Boreanaz signed on to star as the lead, but before he accepted the role, he called the late Garner's daughter, Gigi Garner. She wrote on X that she gave Boreanaz her stamp of approval and told him she was 100% on board.

The hunt for the newest nose twitcher is on!

Bewitched already inspired a 2005 spinoff film and now has a reboot in the works at Fox. The fantastical series, which ran from 1964 to 1972 on ABC, starred Elizabeth Montgomery as the humorous witch Samantha living with her human husband, Darrin (Dick York and later Dick Sargent).

In February 2024, Deadline reported that Fox was developing an hour-long modern take on the series. While casting has not been announced, the outlet reported that Judalina Neira is writing the series and executive producing it alongside Doug Robinson.

The reboot is a set to be a "heartfelt" take on the beloved comedy and feature Samantha and Darrin dealing with "cultural clashes" as they "bridge the divides between their families and worlds."

Erin Murphy, who played Tabitha Stephens in the original show, said that she was "excited" about the possible reboot and would love to make an appearance.

"If they asked me to appear on the show, absolutely I would! I’d love to be included in some way, and I know fans of the original Bewitched would enjoy that fun reference to the past," she said in an interview with New Idea in February 2026.

The following five seasons centered around other characters played by Jasmine Guy and Kadeem Hardison.

The streamer revealed in August 2024 that a revival sequel was in development and would follow a plot similar to the original. The reboot will star Maleah Joi Moon as Deborah Wayne, the youngest daughter of Hillman College's former it couple, Dwayne Wayne and Whitley Gilbert.

Once Deborah sets foot on the campus, she must navigate college life while also carving her own path.

In addition to Joi Moon, the cast also includes Cliff "Method Man" Smith as Coach Coles and Norman Nixon Jr. as Professor Baptiste, as well as returning stars Karen Malina White as Charmaine Brown and Ajai Sanders as Gina Deveaux. Guy and Hardison will also reprise their roles.

Netflix announced the reboot will start with 10 half-hour episodes. An official premiere date has not been announced, but the streamer said they were planning for a fall 2026 release at the Upfronts, per Deadline.
