Seth Meyers on Monday clowned President Donald Trump for awkwardly sitting through an award presentation related to his ties to Jeffrey Epstein during an already “rough” night at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner.
The “Late Night” host — who detailed how Trump “bombed so bad” behind the podium — noted that the president didn’t seem too pleased when CNN’s Wolf Blitzer recognized reporters at The Wall Street Journal who reported on the president’s alleged lewd birthday letter to the late *** offender.

That story led the president to file two $10billion lawsuits against the newspaper, one of which has been dismissed and another that’s pending. (Note: Trump has denied that the letter was from him.)
“Now that’s ******* funny,” said Meyers after airing a clip of Trump listening to Blitzer praise the “courageous” reporting for triggering the release of the Epstein files.

The host continued to delight over the president making a “you got to be kidding me”-type face in response to Blitzer.
“Looks like a teenager getting a lecture from the principal; what are they going to do next? Make him write 100 times on a chalkboard, ‘I will not send lewd birthday cards to *** offenders,’” the host quipped.
He added that the moment got “even weirder” when Trump clapped and shook hands with reporters behind the Epstein story.
Meyers mimicked Trump for throwing his hands in the air in resignation before breaking out his impression of the president, “Hahahahaha! Well, you got me, guys! You know I was friends with a *** trafficker. I tried to cover it up. You found the proof! And now I’m the one with the egg on my face, congratulations!”
