Tom Brady raised eyebrows this weekend after he posted a cryptic message to Instagram following news his ex-wife Gisele Bündchen had remarried.
On Friday, Dec. 19, news broke of the supermodel marrying her jiu-jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente on Dec. 3 surrounded by a small group of family and friends at their house in Surfside, Florida.

The next day, Brady posted two snaps to his Instagram Story which have since expired. The first one showed him standing in a black T-shirt and shorts while holding a football. He captioned it, “LFG,” which stands for “Let’s F--king Go.”
The second story, however, is what grabbed fans' attention. In that post, Brady snapped a selfie of himself wearing a “Forever Young” hoodie with the caption “Yuppppppp💯.”
The post was set to Logic’s “1-800-273-8255," a song named after the previous phone number for the American National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, now known as the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
The song depicts a first-person perspective call to the hotline, with lyrics such as "I don't wanna be alive" and "I just wanna die today."
After screenshots of Brady's story circulated widely on social media, fans began wondering if the post hinted at his mental state following the wedding news.
"damn i can’t think of a cleaner kind of pain than this. the person you loved most moves on... new guy, new kid, & new wedding. all basically in one breath," wrote one fan on X. "tom brady has everything anyone’s told to want. still doesn’t spare you from that kind of emotional velocity. absolutely f--king brutal."
"Using music for good - powerful. Hope everyone involved is doing okay and getting support they need," said another.
"No matter who’s at fault, seeing the woman you love drop you and get pregnant and married soon after f--king hurts, badly," added a third.
Others were less kind to the 7-time Super Bowl champion, who famously retired and un-retired from the NFL in 2022. It was been widely speculated that Brady's decision to stay in the league caused strain in his marriage to Bündchen, culminating in their divorce later that year.
"what you get when your gorgeous gorgeous wife basically begs you forever to retire and be present for your family, you decide to retire, then your old greedy ass walks it back and she stands on business!" said one user.
"[Gisele] gave him 1000 chances and every single time he chose football over the family they created. Let him cry. She’s happy now and he realizes his loss," commented another.
"Brady clearly knows timing matters," wrote a third. "Using a serious song after personal news sends a message, whether intentional or not. Social media is loud, and public figures turn every post into commentary. People will read between every line."

Bündchen and Brady were married from 2009 to 2022, and the pair share children Benjamin, 16, and Vivian, 13. Bündchen was also the stepmother of Brady’s sonJack, 18, whom he shares with his ex, actress Bridget Moynahan.
The model and Valente also welcomed their first child together — a baby boy — in February. The name of the child has yet to be shared publicly.
If you or someone you know is contemplating suicide or struggling with suicidal thoughts, help is available 24 hours a day through the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline at 988.
