Pamela Anderson has embraced a new chapter in her acting career after earning praise for The Last Showgirl. Now, the actress is seeking projects that challenge her comfort zone. While promoting her latest film, Rosebush Pruning, Anderson also addressed the upcoming Baywatch reboot and shared her stance on it.

Pamela Anderson says producers never contacted her about the new Baywatch

Anderson told Deadline that no one involved with the new Baywatch reboot has contacted her about returning. “No one’s reached out to me. I don’t know much about it,” she said. She added that producers spoke with her sons about producing the series. However, she said they “didn’t have a meeting of the minds,” and she does not know what happened after that.

The actress expressed her love for her role as C.J. Parker in the popular series. “It was a great job, and I loved going to work every day on the beach,” she said. She added that the show gave her global exposure and influenced her career. Still, she made her plans clear by saying, “I have no plans of going back to Baywatch.”

Instead, Anderson wants to focus on challenging roles in independent films. She told Deadline that she used to think dramatic roles were being denied to her because of her tabloid status and personal life. She credited her Broadway run in Chicago, her son’s Netflix documentary Pamela, a Love Story, and director Gia Coppola’s persistence with The Last Showgirl for changing that. “This is my second chance,” she said, adding that she will not take it for granted.

Anderson spoke while promoting Rosebush Pruning, a dark comedy directed by Karim Aïnouz and written by Efthimis Filippou. She stars alongside Callum Turner, Riley Keough, Elle Fanning, Jamie Bell, Elena Anaya, and Lukas Gage. Anderson said she enjoyed the script because it was “odd and provocative,” and she admired the filmmakers behind the project.
