The fictional wedding of the century falls into chaos in the teaser trailer for A24's upcoming film *The Drama*.
The studio dropped the first look at the Zendaya and Robert Pattinson project Wednesday, introducing bookstore clerk Emma Harwood (Zendaya) and British museum director Charlie Thompson (Pattinson), who seem happily engaged until their wedding photographer asks them to show said happiness for some test shots.
As the couple attempt to "naturally smile" for the camera, clips flash of the impending disaster that strikes during their wedding week. Despite the cheer from their family and friends, Emma is seen looking deeply unhappy in her wedding dress and sneaking into an office to drink liquor straight from the bottle, while Charlie loses composure during a meeting, throwing files to the ground in a fit of rage.

When the photographer asks Charlie to name his favorite things about Emma, he replies, "She's beautiful, funny, and she has the best laugh." When Emma is the one asked to praise her partner, she says, "I love that he's caring, understanding and open-minded." And there are several clips that show how happy the couple seem, even one in which Emma slaps Charlie while in flagrante delicto, and the pair laugh in the shock of the moment.
But the final moments of the trailer show things are definitely not in the right, as a scene features Emma crying out for Charlie during their wedding dinner as his family members try to hold him up with a bloodied nose. And when we get back to the photo session, the photographer cuts the test session short, telling the awkward couple, "Okay, I think that we'll get there on the day."
The film's synopsis teases that the couple's impending nuptials are "suddenly in jeopardy" due to a stunning revelation.
Kristoffer Borgli (*Dream Scenario*) helmed the film from his own script. Ari Aster, Lars Knudsen and Tyler Campellone serve as producers.
*The Drama* hits theaters on April 3. Watch the trailer above.**
